review: St Martin’s tea room

Spices. Chilli. Asian flavours. Tastes of the Mediterranean. My palate can crave complex flavours but sometimes all you want is a plate of comfort food reminiscent of childhood and this tea room in St Martin is just the place.

It may not be the most sophisticated but if you want a big buttie, a jacket spud, homemade cakes and all manner of other classic British cafe dishes then this is the pit stop for you.

Daily specials are always there to greet you and the selection of baked treats will satisfy even the pickiest sweet tooth. Service is consistently friendly and relaxed, and you would be pushed to not feel well fed and not have change for a tenner.

Lots of parking, a big green for the kids and dogs are welcome. The ideal countryside tea room.
