A windy walk on the beach is guaranteed to set my stomach rumbling and if I am looking for a tasty and pocket-friendly bite out east then this place is my go to in Gorey.
Set in the village (rather than on the pier) the cheery service and tasty homemade food never fail to tick every box and leave my hunger feeling more than satiated.
Breakfasts are served all day with the house ‘Kitchen Breakfast’ challenging even the biggest appetite. Sandwiches, jacket potatoes and a small selection of classic lunch plates (think bubbling cheesy lasagne, crispy scampi and burgers) complete the menu with a few daily specials and a range of baked treats.
The focus is on homemade and quality, there is always a friendly smile and I usually end up with more food than I can eat with change from a tenner. So next time you are looking for a little sustenance out East, give this neighborhood bolt hole a go.
